The Fire Department offers this fire safety education program yearly at Westwood Elementary School for grades 1-5. This nationally recognized curriculum provides 100 hours per year of safety instruction by Fire Department personnel plus an integrated curriculum for teachers to use in daily lessons. Join The Cadet Program
This is a special training program for boys and girls aged 15-17 which is tailored to teach teamwork and responsibility to oneself, other department personnel and the community at large. Cadets are introduced to fire fighting and rescue techniques using fire department equipment as well as safe driving classes. The program is directed by Fire Department officers and prepares the youngsters for a future as a department firefighter and emergency medical technician. Rapid Entry System
The lock box rapid entry system maintains the security of your home and at the same time allows access to emergency services. The system consists of a tamper-proof key box installed at the home or business and is registered with the fire department. For security, pricing, installation and product information, contact Asst.
